This is the top steering wheel of the Fanatec brand, with its impressive 15 Nm it has an incredible strength and precision.

If you want to play F1 24 or iRacing with formulas, this is the best choice. The steering wheel has high precision magnetic paddle shifters that have perfect feel and speed.

The steering wheel is equipped with 11 buttons, 12-position multi-position switches, thumb encoders, toggle switches, all arranged close to the thumbs for quick operation.

The Fanatec GT DD Pro wheel is the cheapest direct drive wheel for PS5, it’s a great option if you don’t want to spend as much money as with the Extreme or Clubsport.

It has a motor with a power of 5Nm that can be upgraded with a Fanatec boost kit up to 8Nm.

The price is around 600€ but includes the rim and pedals, so it is ready to start playing as soon as you receive it. It is certainly the wheel that I would buy for Playstation if I did not have much money.

It has decent power, and the speed with which the direct drive sends information to the steering wheel is instantaneous, making you feel the track perfectly.

The only drawback is that it lacks a bit of power and there may be clipping. Something that can be solved with the boost kit.

4. Thrustmaster T-GT II: The best PS5 option for Gran Turismo

The Thrustmaster T-GT 2 is a steering wheel specifically designed for Gran Turismo 7 and later, so if you play this game, it is one of our most recommended options. In fact there are ESports players who play with this wheel, as is the case of Coque Lopez.

6. Thrustmaster T300

The Thrustmaster T300 is the wheel I started with and I highly recommend it if you are looking for your first force feedback wheel.

I was using it for 4 years and it worked like the first day. I also put the Ferrari SF1000 Aro which is perfect for playing Formula 1 with the T-LCM pedals. It was awesome!

This is one of the best flywheels to start with in my opinion. Obviously a direct drive is a better wheel as it has more power and gives you more information, but for this price it is well worth it.

The T300 base is priced around 250€ and you can find complete packs for 360€.

7. Logitech G923

The Logitech G923 is also a good steering wheel. Although I have to say that I haven’t bought it and haven’t tested it for a long time. I have been able to test it for a couple of days only.

In my opinion it’s on par with the Thrustmaster T300, so it’s also a good choice, one of the few reasons I prefer the T300 is because you can change rims and pedals.

Changing the rim is very important because if you play a lot the steering wheels tend to peel if they are made of leather or rubber. So the G923 may have less durability than the T300.

But it is a good flywheel with acceptable power and quite accurate response. It also has dual clutch which is very useful in realistic simulation games.

The ideal in my opinion if you are starting out would be to buy one of these and in a couple of years make the jump to direct drive.

The price is very good!!! only 370$! for a complete wheel.

8. Thrustmaster T248

The Thrustmaster T248 is a steering wheel very similar to the T300 but in this case the rim cannot be interchanged, as it is fixed.

What I like most about this pack are the Thrustaster T3PM pedals that already cost only 120 €, only for these pedals is worth this bundle. They are the ones with which you can feel perfectly when the car skids under braking.

I would have liked it better if the hoop could be changed.

In terms of playability, the force feedback feels very good and I am able to make good times with it.

It hasplenty of buttons that are close to the thumbs so they are easy to operate.

All in all, another excellent steering wheel for amateur and intermediate simracers. The approximate price is 270€.
